What services do you offer?
We are a production and management company, so our services for management would include planning your event, assisting your design from concept to completion, and liaising with various other companies, venue and suppliers. As a production company our services include anything to change the overall look of a venue from e.g. draping, lighting, theming, music, PA systems, pyrotechnics, Mandaps, table decorations, floral arrangements etc.
How many events can you undertake in one day?
Utilising all the man power we have, we are able to undertake up to three large events on one day. (Large events would consist of services such as lighting, music and decoration catering for 300+ guests.
Do you do your own services, or sub-contract them out?
Everything to do with the overall look of a venue including sound, lighting and décor is undertaken by our company. However services such as Ice sculptures, Chocolate Fountains, Dancers and Entertainers would be provided by sub-contracted companies.
Does ME meet all health and safety regulations?
Yes - Mistique Events is a fully regulated company with all certificated insurance, meeting all industry health and safety regulations.
Does ME have public liability insurance?
Yes - ME is fully equipped with Public Liability Insurance.
How much should I spend on Décor, Music, Lighting etc?
This all depends on how much you would LIKE to spend, bearing in mind there are minimum costs involved for all services. Music can start from £695 and go up according to how much equipment is needed and how long you require music to be played for. Décor and lighting all depends upon how you want your event to look like. Our team of designers will give you an idea of what we can do and approximately how much it will cost.
How do I know what I need?
If you do not have a wedding / event planner, we will assist and advise you on what you may or may not require, with all the services we would be carrying out for your event. E.g. If you decide to take intelligent lighting for your event, we would recommend taking pin spot lighting, which would assist the lighting and enhance the overall look.
What do I need to ask the venue in reference to Décor, Music and Lighting?
If you decide to book with Mistique Events then we will contact the venue and ask all the relevant questions, however good questions to fire at the venue at your first meeting would be to find out if service companies can get access the day before? Is there a time limit where at the end of the event companies need to be out by? Do service companies need to provide you with anything (venues ask for public liability insurance, and health and safety certificates)?

Now that the web site has given you a general idea of what we can bring to your event, simply pick up the phone and speak to one of our event planners who will firstly check if your date is available and then maybe arrange a meeting for you to view our portfolios, and also obtain a good idea of what type of event you are having and what you would like to create.
What other factors do I need to consider with the design and overall look of my event?
1.You may need to consider certain factors when generating ideas for your event. For example if your event is in the middle of summer and in a marquee, it may not be a good idea to have the entire inside draped with star cloth draping due to the heat. Also costs can vary from season to season. Flowers may become more expensive during the winter months of the year, increasing your flower cost for the event.
How much will decorations cost?
We design and decorate each event according to requirements and budgets, there is no specific price for decorations. Depending on what your budget is, we can then design and create the look for your event in accordance.
How long does it take to set up an event?
This is all dependant upon what we would be doing for your event. Designing and finishing a complete venue including music, lighting, draping, décor etc can take all day. If we are unable to obtain access into the venue the day before for large events, we may ask for anything up to 5 or 6 hours to prepare the event.
How do you attach anything to the venue without drilling into the walls?
Most of our designs are created by erecting or building free standing structures within the venue, which are then used as the main frames for draping and hanging lights.
How much time will I need to give production companies time to set-up?
As mentioned before, this all depends upon what you are having done at your event. However please note that we would not be the only company requesting early access. If you have decided using different companies for your music, décor, catering and lighting they will all need adequate set up times to prepare for the event.
Can I make my event look good without a specific theme?
Not all events have a theme. You may just decide that you want a simple look for the event with nothing too extravagant, however maintaining the overall elegance of the event by simply using soft colours and mood lighting.
How do I know what music to choose for my first dance?
Your first dance track is usually recommended as a track which is important and special to yourself and your partner. It could be the song you both first slow danced to, or it could even be a song you each share together. If you have real difficulty in choosing a specific track our DJ's have a list of music which you may wish obtain a list of.
How do I know what music to choose for my first dance?

How do I know how many lights I will need for my event?
Your event planner will recommend how many lights you will need depending of the size of the venue and the overall look which you wish to create. The lighting design for your event will be configured according to your requirements.
The venue already has its own lighting, why do I need more?
The venue will more then likely provide lighting only to provide illumination. We provide lighting to create moods and atmospheres to compliment your event. If you wish for your event to have that WOW factor you will need more then just venue lighting.
How can I create that WOW factor without spending thousands of pounds?
If you are trying to create the WOW factor for your event with a small budget, we always recommend to use lighting. Our lighting concepts have the ability to transform venues from one atmosphere to another without spending huge amounts of money on drapes, structures, and props.
